Pro v3.6: AI Chat in Figma, tables you can reorder
AI Chat shipped React first in August, with the Figma counterpart promised next. It's here, in Pro v3.6 of the Figma kit.
AI Chat in Figma
The chat surfaces from the AI Chat app are now in the kit, matched 1:1 with their React blocks: Chat, Composer, Chat Shell, Assistant Panel, and Share Dialog. The seven message renderers come with them: text, reasoning, tool calls, web search, sources, file, and questionnaire parts.
The app screens are designed too: Chat, with its new, loading and not-found states and the docked assistant panel; Library in grid, list and preview views; and Projects with the project detail. The dialogs and menus around them are ready to detach and edit.
Like the rest of the kit, all of it responds to the Style and Theme variable modes, so every surface works across all eight styles in light and dark. Design the chat in Figma, install the same blocks with the shadcn CLI, and the two stay in step.
Open AI Chat in Figma. Available in the Pro kit.

Tables: rows you can reorder
The Table blocks pick up row drag and drop, in Figma and React. 15 of the 21 blocks gain a grip handle column, in both the Large and Small variants; the record and analytics views (transactions, audit logs, leaderboards) deliberately keep their fixed order.
In React the reordering is wired up with dnd-kit: drag rows with the pointer or the keyboard, and the handle disables itself while a sort is active so the two never fight.
Sorting improved along the way: sortable headers now show their direction, a third click clears the sort, and aria-sort keeps screen readers in the loop. If you already own the tables, reinstall a block and the update is yours.
App Shells
A new block group under Pro Application: three App Shells and five App Shell Headers. An App Shell is the frame around an application screen: a sidebar, a header bar and an empty content area, ready to drop a dashboard or a table into. Each shell comes with the sidebar expanded and collapsed, at Large and Small. The headers are the bar on its own, with the sidebar toggle, a workspace switcher, a date range, filters, settings and search, to swap into a shell or use on top of your own layout.
Like every block in the kit, they follow the Style and Theme variable modes across all eight styles in light and dark. Available in the Pro kit.
Also in v3.6
- The file now mirrors the site. Pages are grouped under
COMPONENTS,BLOCKS,APPSandICONSsections in the same order as shadcncraft.com, and the names inside a page are the ones you see there: the Footers page holds Footer 1 to Footer 4, andFooter 4is the block you install asfooter-4. Swapping a component is page, then item. Variant properties read as React props (variant, size, state;sm,lg,destructive), the↳page prefixes are gone, icons are one page per library, and nothing is hidden from publishing any more. 897 nodes were renamed and existing instances keep working; they track the component, not the name. How the names map to React is on the Figma to React mapping page. - Balance, Avatar Upload and Team Card are split into numbered components that match the registry: Balance 1 to 3, Avatar Upload 1 and 2, Team Card 1 and 2.
- Questionnaire, announced in August, is included.
